By the way I don't think I'll burn a token on this account after all since nobody is shifting at all. It almost seems there's a glitch in the opponents' scoring: I was going to use a token as I get to level 1000 but there really seems no point.

I think if you are playing via Apple it might be quickest to ask them for a refund for "purchases not received". To buy 500 gold bars that must have been quite a lot of money. I would suggest you try get a direct refund from the company that holds your payment method.
