It can’t always be smooth sailing! Blockers are the name for anything that gets in your way.
Most blockers don’t drop like other Candies - they stay in place on the board until they’ve been cleared. Plus, they can also come in several stubborn layers!
To clear blockers, try matching Candies in the spaces beside them. Blockers can be hit with blasts from exploding Candies, or with boosters such as the Lollipop Hammer.
Tip: If you’ve got a screen full of blockers, quickly clear as many as you can to make more room for matches!
Here are some of the blockers you'll need to tackle...
Licorice Lock
Prevents candies from being moved or destroyed. Removed by matching 3 or more using the candy in it. Has different properties if it is on something without color.
Cupcakes
Cupcakes are layered blockers with a maximum of 5 layers. Each layer is removed by adjacent matches or by a booster/combo blast. The single-layered version is the easiest to clear.
Licorice Swirl
A blocker that's a strong barrier. It needs adjacent matches or hits from striped candies and color bombs.
Fishing Net
Destroying the net with adjacent matches will release Candy fish!
Jelly Cube
Just like the 'Frosting' blocker, this will stop the Candy inside from being matched, but not from moving. Removed by matching underneath or using special candies.
Wiggling
A small creature with four growing arms. Arms will grow after every move you play. To remove it, the head needs to be hit with special candies 3 times.
Cotton Cloud
Contain candies and blockers inside them. Maximum of three layers.
Candyvore
Picks and eats candies. Prefers special candies that regenerate its health shown as it's leaves. Requires blasts from Special Candies to take damage.
Licorice Laces
Maximum of 5 layers (for normal links) and 4 layers (for yellow laces). If one link in a chain of links is destroyed, the whole chain unravels and is destroyed.
