still no help with roadblock

Every time i click on to get help from my friends to get through the roadblock the same friends come up and most of them don't play anymore, i have tried everything to get more friends to come up but still nothing, i clicked on link yo get world wide friends but still nothing, it was a lot better when you could chose your friends to help you.
