Why does the game do this??

I’ve been playing this game for years. Why is it with the levels such as the ones where you have to light up the buckets or catch the fruit does it not let you carry on after you’ve done these things? I’m getting so frustrated when I’ve finally lit up all the buckets and I have 10 moves left but suddenly I’ve lost the level because I haven’t got enough points. Like why can’t I carry on after I’ve lit up to buckets to try get the required score? It’s so frustrating especially when you’re stuck on a level for ages.
