@MightyWolf not only that but think of it as an RPG, where you can collect characters and use their powers to stop evil from taking over the candy world. Collect certain candies to deal damage to enemies and use special combos to amplify your powers and your score. The enemy will attack you and your friends, dealing damage to all. You use a certain booster or match a specific color to heal one or more members of your party. But watch out, if your entire party gets knocked out, you can either continue on by spending gold or watching an ad to restore half your health to the entire team. If you don’t, it’s game over and you have to start over again until you defeat that enemy.

King should implement a major update to where you can send lives to active players. (king.com)

The levels now are quite tricky to pass without extra lives.
