TIPS to help you win more (and keep your sanity!)
Note: this is mostly about the psychology and game theory behind playing Pyramid Solitaire rather than strategy.
Tip #1
Don't use your boosters unless you have a ton or are aiming for the highest score.
King hates it when players have too many boosters stocked up so the game is designed to encourage you to blow through them. This is why there are so many levels where you are one card away from winning but will lose unless you use a booster. Don't fall for this trick. Just like when you buy a lottery ticket that was only missing one number; this motivates you to keep playing to avoid the sense of loss. However, there is one exception to this rule as I will explain below...
Tip #2
Reward rounds are a trap.
Like above, they influence you into using boosters. Don't do it. In fact, NEVER use boosters for any challenge round. The psychology behind this is very similar to the one above; loss aversion. It's rooted in the principle of commitment. If you use one booster before the level, and you're only a few cards away from winning, your mind will come up with justifications to continue using boosters since you're already too deep in.
Don't fall for this. I've been in situations where I kept using boosters just to win only to end up winning boosters that did not compensate me for the ones I lost.
Tip #3
Accept the fact that the game is rigged.
King will never admit this, but it's totally rigged. And the sooner you accept this, the less frustration you will experience.
Tip #4
Don't use too many of your spare lives.
Like stocking boosters, King hates it when players stock up spare lives. The game is setup so that you will be influenced to use them, especially when there's a time limited chest available.
I recommend using only one spare life at a time instead of doing 5 at one time. Make this a habit.
Tip #5
Understand and value your TIME
This is so important. If you're stuck on a level consistently (at least 15+ tries) then consider using a booster or two. There have been times when I was so stubborn to use boosters to pass a tough level and just ended up wasting time. So this is the one time I recommend using them because otherwise, you lose precious time instead.
Tip #6
Don't trust the unlock everything booster.
Ever wonder why the game rewards you with so many of these now? Because they are designed to waste your boosters! It's based on the commitment principle as well; "Since I already used this booster to unlock all the cards, I have to win at any cost otherwise it would have all been for nothing!"
This is the type of twisted logic that the game influences you to have. Don't fall for this one!

Thank you for sharing your tips/theories about Pyramid Solitaire Saga and it is indeed interesting. I've played this game before and I used boosters only as and when needed so it doesn't have impact on me if I ran out of booster. The only way is to keep playing patiently, strategise (if needed), win levels and collect boosters again.
