At December 24, we still have to work, okay only till 5 or 6 pm especially everything with food. We cebrate it with 3 or 4 courses, we start with small things, sometimes soup then Turkey or some other meat and special things, also Christmas cake and chocolates and candies.
December 25, it's an official Holiday. We eat the leftovers from 24/12.
December 26, we have to work again.

I know a couple guys from Australia. So, I am really interested to know what exactly boxing day is. Anything that you can tell me that will help me good a good grasp on what its all about would be greatly appreciated

@jfoxarnold Boxing Day in Australia is nothing like what its origins were. Now it is a Public Holiday on the day after Christmas Day and has become a fun day spent at the beach or having a bbq (cook out) with friends. Also cricket is the main National sport in summer in Australia and Boxing Day is the first day of a Test match against another major cricketing nation. It is held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and in normal times Boxing Day will attract a crowd of around 100,000.
The origins of Boxing Day go back to the 1830s in England, so in Australia it is a carry over from our colonial days. Its original purpose is described below.
The name comes from a time when the rich used to box up gifts to give to the poor. Boxing Day was traditionally a day off for servants, and the day when they received a special Christmas box from their masters. The servants would also go home on Boxing Day to give Christmas boxes to their families.

In Portugal we celebrate Christmas of course! Usually the "first" day is December 8th, a religious holiday there, and it used to be the day to go out at night and see the windows of all stores with the new items, so we could decide what to ask as a gift to Baby Jesus (not really Santa Claus, when I was a kid).
Around Xmas Eve and day it is time to visit friends, and see their decorations of the Xmas Tree and Nativity Scenes. Many people leave all the decorations until the Three Wise Men's day, January 6th .. in my Island used to be a tradition, for many people, to leave all decorations until February 2nd, what we call "The Stars Day".
Here in Canada it is widely celebrated, not as much in a religious way as in Portugal, but magic as well...

These are the star singers. The on 6.1. are. I am in East Germany and we don't have this one. West Germany only. On 6.1. the holiday.
