From reading a lot of articles online for this new story I realized how worldwide it is. Not too long ago @Sukanta_Biswas was telling me about a bad cyclone hit them. He was showing me videos of that wind. By the time these hurricanes get to my area we hardly get anything. It always seems to turn and head towards New York. But climate change is a very big problem.

@Elsa @fabke @Nenikapaki Elsa's story, as always, is very informative and educational.
The effects of climate change have long been a major issue in Europe. Whenever I see the reports on the climate conference or other events on television, I am a little disappointed with the results. For me, all this is going much too slowly.
I have long understood that every single one of them can do something and I do what I can on a small scale. I do not use disposable tableware and avoid, if possible, all disposable products and disposable packaging (it does not always work, but if there is an alternative, then I take this).Β
Many in Europe think that major hurricanes and tornadoes only exist in America, not here. However, this is not true, as recent examples in Europe show (about a week ago in the Czech Republic).
I have also experienced a tornado in Berlin myself. He wasn't as strong as I know it from television. Nevertheless, I found him very threatening.
I thank Elsa for constantly drawing attention to such things here in the Community. It's important! For us and especially our descendants.

Hi @Elsa
When I seen the name of the hurricane I thought of you. I live in St Petersburg Florida which is on the west coast right beside Tampa Florida. We all here are keeping a eye on the storm and hoping it turns north soon. π
If thereβs enough hurricanes this year one will be named after me too. Hurricane Teresa. π±
Thanks for this story and discussion. ππ€
