If you have seen the When 2020 Starts Around the World, this is a follow up to that message. I would like to repeat the first couple of sentences from that message.

The Pacific island of Tonga is the first to ring in the New Year and celebrated at 5 am EST on December 31st. Auckland and WellingtonΒ New ZealandΒ hit 12 o’clock midnight at 6 am EST followed by several regions of Australia (Melbourne, Sydney, and Canberra,) at 8 a.m. EST.

Since I am in the EST time zone, the first to celebrate 2022 will be just as I am waking up on New Year's Eve, 6:00 AM. An hour later, my time, New Zealand will celebrate 2022. And an hour later, my time, several regions of Australia will be ringing in 2022. This is what I would like to see in this message. We are all located in different parts of the world so how about we do this!

Just before midnight in your time zone, if you are still awake, look outside and take a picture of the fireworks or whatever you see at the stroke of midnight and then post it here. Please make sure to include where you live along with your picture. I can't guarantee that I will be awake at midnight EST but in my area we get the New York ball dropping. If I am still awake I will only be able to watch it on TV but I will try to get a picture or short video taken from my TV.

Who is up for this?

Let the countdown begin..................
