@JONH10 speaking more than one language is really an accomplishment. I took Latin in school because I had planned to become a psychologist. I wish that I had chosen a different language to study. Life has its own plans for you however! My dad taught me the following poem and I wrote it in the back of my 1st year Latin book. I got in a lot of trouble...
Latin is a Lanuage as dead as it can be
It killed out all the Romans and now it's killing me
Everyone's dead who spoke it, everyone's dead who taught it, everyone's dead who learnt it
Blessed death, they surely earned it
If all the world was flooded and I was about to die,
I would camp upon my Latin book because it is so dry

@_Elsa_ I did not compose the poem. I printed the poem, very neatly, in blue ink, on the inside of the back cover of my school issued 1st year of Latin Book. It is a very old poem with several variations. I looked online and could not really find a complete version of the poem. This was the version that my dad taught me. Both my father and mother took Latin classes. ʕᵔᴥᵔʔ

When I was in school they also taught Latin in high school. My mother always put me down saying that I was stupid so she told me not to take that language because I'd never go to college. When I was 40 I started college and got both my bachelor's and masters' degrees in Psychology. Then she told me "I knew that you could do it!" G-d Bless mothers!
