The candy cane bars make it more challenging. You have to get used to it and realize you can't match candies across bars. Stripes or bombs will cross the bars. You can't get rid of them.

Yes, sugar drops and play the space race challenge. Just keep replaying an easily beatable level until you have the full space race boosters. Then play the level. If you don't beat it, repeat the space race challenge again until you have full boosters.

Thanks! Clearing the cookies worked. I don't know if you have to clear both cookies and cache, but clearing the cookies worked after clearing only the cache didn't. CC is restored to the correct level and boosters on Chrome but I did lose several lives from friends that were sitting in my envelope.

This happened to me too. My chrome is up to date and passes the suggested browser test. I tried clearing my cache, that didn't help. I can play fine on Firefox but I prefer Chrome. I only get an old version of the game with Chrome.

The board does not start with enough licorice to fill the required order of 50. You can't destroy the mixer until you are able to make the 50 licorice. The mixer makes licorice. If you can get to 50 licorice with what you have cleared and what you have on board you can zap it.

When you clear one key from the middle row another appears. You need to aim for clearing the key ASAP and you'll get another.
