I used the link inside the app itself. I was assuming that would be how most players would access the community now. The app is Candy Crush Saga, so the link brings me straight to the CCS site. If you search using the internet it's more difficult and confusing I guess.

This happens to players from time to time. King have several test groups, some with ads and some without. They do swap players over from one group to another sometimes but there is a good chance you will get to see ads again soon if you do not make any purchase.

King changed all the levels around to put the easiest ones in the middle and the hardest at the end of each episode.
