Dear Blossom, prepare your wings! I will take you to discover a place not very far from our European shores, but that will make you feel like you travelled thousands miles away from home! It's nestled in the French Normandy region, close to the sea port of Fécamp and a stonethrow away from pebbled beaches.

At first glance, the compound does not look very different from renovated farms around. But let me take you to visit the beautiful garden, well arranged and kept by a very dedicated gardener (and former sollicitor😁).

See all those flower beds ? Yes they are mostly composed with local wild flowers. In spring the forget-me-nots planted at the base of each apple trees, in full blossom, make you feel as if the above blue sky had landed right in the middle of the garden. Imagine butting amongst these sky like flower beds.

Behind the houses, you will find a good sized vegetable patch, fully organically grown, where the cooks come and chose their ingredients to prepare the next fully vegetarian meal. Not far from there, you would have fun visiting the vegetal Mandala designed by the Indian owners

Now after all this time spent in the garden, you might feel tired. So let me bring you through the doors of the central farmhouse.

As soon as you enter you are transpored in a different world, what with the scent of encens and burning ghee, the murmur of mantras played in the main rooms. You have just entered the heart of Tapovan Ayurvedic Centre. Right near the entrance you can have a rest on the swing in the beautiful meditation room.

I used to work there for weeklong periods, but every time I left I felt rejunevated, as if I had spent a long time in a far away country, far far from the hussle and bustle of our hectic western and urban lives.

This is paradise for bees: this Centre was set up some 40 years ago, and since then, all the gardens have been maintained without any chemical products. I can't wait to show you this place ☺️
