You can go to settings, and on the accessibility tab turn off hints. It means no hints, but honestly this new jiggling is so irritating that I am sure everyone will turn off hints to get rid of it. Actually people that have reached the last level can and do get the 30x multiplier. The Star Tournament levels at the end of the map, which are quite winnable and neverending, give the same 30x multiplier as new levels, and produce plenty of purple candies. You can continue in the Star Tournament (click the star past the rainbow) when you run out of levels. So you could have continued.
