It sounds to me like you have just lost connection to whatever you were sync'd with. Did you use kingdom or facebook. Just reconnect, disconnect etc, your progress should come back. Then in the app settings there's a restore purchases button to get your gold back :)

I don't think it is. To me it sounds like it could be an issue with your mobile. Check how much memory you have free, if the phone is struggling, then apps can run slow etc

What are you playing on, mobile, facebook, king.com? I recommend synchronizing with king.com and getting the help from there. That normally works for me. 

I normally find that the promotions offer goods in the game the promo is for. So if you're playing Farm Heroes and it says to play 10 levels in Soda, then you get the items in Soda.

This seems to be how the promotions work in the King games. They go out to a random group of players and the same with devices. So you might have it on one mobile and not the other and also you might not get it at all. 

I guess it's based on 1000's of players feedback or how many attempts it took. It's a good warning if I know I only have 10 mins to play and I can see I might not have time to dive in!

I know of an issue like this where players were connected to the kingdom and then looking for their Facebook friends and vice versa, so make sure you're connected to Facebook if you're looking for friends that are on there. 

Please don't harm the messenger but this is something that we have been warned about. The in-game items are stored in the app info, not in your facebook account etc. So it seems that if the app updates or you delete it, these things go with it! It was confirmed in this thread…

I'm happy to get 1 star, let alone 2 or 3 on most levels, at least you can pass it and keep going!
