@SApple2 , @Yosca ..... Thank you for the suggestion. It still wants me to log in via Windows mail option to sign in..... All I want to do is just play the game without all the linking to my personal stuff....Why can't they just fix the problem on their side, as it is obviously a problem all over?
@Yosca this process is not going to work because I use email only through a web browser and clicking on the mail thingy it wants to configure email on the windows computer per app. We tried to click on google, and hubby does not want to go that route on my laptop.....

@Pitty_Kitty , this is not a problem with my device / connection to the internet/ version I'm playing...... this is a KING problem. See the other comments on the thread about lives and boosters! This is an ongoing issue throughout the CCSS system. PLEASE let them fix the bug before the weekend starts!
@Pitty_Kitty I don't get an error message, only a "connection not available" right above the social logo. I play on a laptop. Haven't received any notifications from friends to request lives, or even receiving anything I asked for.
My team mates say they sent lives, I'm on 0 lives, but not receiving any...... somewhere something is not working the way it should....... having timed boosters running with no lives is stupid!!!!
Seems like my "friends" are not playing :( or the requests get stuck somewhere in the cloud and not being passed on. I hardly get any requests now and lives are at a bare minimum. Not fun to play if you have to wait hours for lives to appear.
