I received help on a level. The only way I knew it was requested was when I tried the level and got a pop-up saying the friend helped. I think I got a color bomb, a striped candy and a lucky board. I did pass the level and then sent her an extra life as a thank you.

You can't. They are only good for playing the game. You can use them to get more moves when you have failed a level or trade them for boosters, but that is all they are good for. A million of them are not worth a penny.

If that didn't work then try contacting support. Click the pink cog at the top of the game and then click the question mark at the bottom. Enter a topic and give them as many details as possible. Hopefully someone at King will get back to you and fix it.

I totally agree with you @cookiemae it just looks like an attempt to get you to use up boosters. I don't mind trying five times to pass the level, but I will not waste boosters on it since all the levels I am asked to help with are nightmarishly hard. I've been wondering if the lives I send are received too, and also if it matters how you send them. Before the change to 20 lives a day, you would see more than one request from a person.
