These scores are normal. 15, 000 points in one hour is normal this year because there are multiplier tokens in use. An episode gives between 1700-3000 blue. To score 15,000 with one of the 10x multiplier tokens the player would only have had to play a single episode in the entire hour, which is very slow. This leaderboard…

I agree with AppleCa. This is not unusual. A lot of players' behaviour seems automated and unnatural this year. I think that the app controls this, so the player is not to blame.

Yes, there are multipliers. It's been made clear throughout the competition by pop-ups in the app and by information available here in discussions. In these rounds I am finding that taking advantage of a gummy dragon that is stuck is a good strategy, since movement on the leaderboards is really slow and what matters so far is how many levels you crush (perseverance), not how fast you crush them (speed).
