I didn't think when the challenge is to complete 7 or 11 or 14 levels by a certain date had anything to do with the ghosts. It's just about completing that many games to get the different levels of rewards.

in I played the play 14 games by 1/31/18 I was on level 803 and went to level 814 by the end date. I go Comment by Lea_Bradley February 2018
