This event showed up in almost every account so everyone we see must themselves be part of a leaderboard. I have been wondering if there is a time delay. I think in the weekly contest we see players at a few days' delay. To be honest I am baffled by it all, but it has a "manufactured feel" about it for me.

It's not possible to pass every level without paying gold bars any more. Some levels take hundreds of attempts before you get a board that is passable. Candy Crush has changed: It is now all about budgeting gold bars, not about passing individual levels. Some of us don't like this change, but it is how the game now…
