That's right, it may not be worth the trouble. It took me 2 episodes to go through each section. 6 episodes for 3 days. They extende the time but cut the rewards. Only Fine Dining has a party booster.

They must have heard you. In the most recent Don't Feed The Troll, they have extended the time limit. If I am not mistaken, this is what I saw: Diner: 2,000 candies in 1 hour and 30 minutes Bistro: 2,500 candies in 1 hour and 30 minutes Fine Dining: 2,500 candies in 45 minutes

I suppose you can. It didn't say "new level wins". As long as you win a level, regardless of new or old, the candies collected should be counted. Previously, the candies collected were counted even if you lose the level.
