When the caged bullets drop, they don't always open when I match against them. Even when I match 2 or 3 times. Any help? TIA

I'm stuck on this super hard level and looked for online help. In the videos I watched the power up was a column blaster but in my version its a mesh masher. Has it been changed to make it even more difficult? Anyone else found this?

This is such a hard level. Only has 8 moves. Any help would be appreciated. Can only get to the second mine with 1 move left Thanks
