Sending and receiving lives

I am unable to receive or send lives. On all of the other Candy Crush games I play there is no problem. It seems that this has been a problem for a long time. Maybe it’s the developers way of trying to get me to purchase lives.

I'm not able to receive lives eithe . I thought this problem was only happening to me because I stopped playing a long time ago and just started again a month or so ago. I thought maybe all the people on my friends list stopped as well. Can you guys help me on how to add new friends and let me know if you are now able to send and receive lives or if it's still an ongoing issue for you?  Thanks for any help you can offer
