Why can't I play on iOS 10 anymore?

Hello Friends!

Starting from April 4, it will no longer be possible to play Candy Crush Friends Saga on iOS 10. That means that if your device uses iOS 10, you won’t be able to play any new levels, and you won’t receive any new features or events. 

Online Player vs Player features will also be unavailable when playing on an older version of the game.

How to check which IOS version I have?

1. Go to your iPad or iPhone's home screen, then touch the "Settings" icon.
2. From there, select "General."
3. Next, tap "About." You'll see all of the information about your device, including the version of your iOS device.

Hi everyone! In regards to the recent announcement, you might have some questions or concerns. 

Please note that these news will only affect the following devices: 

Phone: iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and iPhone 5c

iPad: iPad2, iPad (3rd Gen), iPad (4th Gen), and iPad mini (1st Gen)

iPod: iPod touch (4G), and iPod touch (5G)

If you have any of them, update your Apple device by taking these steps: 

1. Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
2. Tap Automatic Updates, then turn on Download iOS Updates.
3. Turn on Install iOS Updates. Your device will automatically update to the latest version of iOS or iPad OS. Some updates might need to be installed manually.

Hello @giulya73 and Welcome to our Friendtastic community. I apologize for the slow response. You posted in an information thread that is not monitored for Support questions on unrelated topics.

The send / receive functionality in Candy Crush Friends Saga has recently been upgraded, so players are now able to request lives (when their lives counter is zero) and receive them if another player sends one. I know this is working because I get a request for lives from the same player every day, and sometimes multiple times in a day. I don't know the player -- it is a random player in my list. I always send lives when requested. I can only suggest that you continue to request lives when you have no more available and hope that an active player will see your request and respond.

Regarding your avatar and username: there is often a delay in syncing avatar pictures if you change it from your original default avatar. My original avatar is still displayed in some games even after several years! I have never changed my username, so I don't know if such a change can also take time to update.
