My lunar new year Tiffi costume progress disappeared. I was past half way.

What level were you at on the special map? If you finished the event at level 10, it is normal for it to disappear and you still have to collect 30 new stars to win the new Tiffi costume.
Please make sure you have a stable internet connection and play/replay some levels if necessary.
