I have the same problem here as in Jelly. You watch all the commercials and you don't get it and the game ends. Then the button to continue is missing. I also had to close this Friends app.
@Spinnifix please check your internet connection if the problem occurs in multiple games. I have no problem watching ads and getting rewards in Jelly. I don't have ads in Friends, but I do have ads in some other games. That's why I always check my internet connection if I can foresee that I need additional moves through ads.
If the problem occurs more frequently, restart the router.
I don't need to do anything because it's the same problem as in Jelly. Snow_Rider already knows this problem.

I do not have the same issue with ads on my Android mobile device. They are working correctly. Try this --> When my board seems locked, I first tap my browser "back" button before resorting to closing my app Sometimes that works.
