I have installed the latest update, but the new event doesn't appear

I have installed the latest update, as you can read from the title, and I also tried to unistall and install again the app, but the new event of "Gummy" (I think) doesn't appear... Well, I see the pink chewing gum in the home screen, but when I click on play the game is the same and I don't have the new levels to unlock this new charachter.

I play on my iOS device (iPhone 6s plus), if this can help.

    There are currently no events running worldwide in the game so no need to reinstall :-).  Stay tuned though

    @CandyCrushinator, there is a new event (you can see it in the description of the new update on the store). It says that there are some levels to complete to obtain a new charachter.

    I see the message and perhaps it's a case of gummed up wording, but there are currently no events running worldwide at the moment.  That doesn't mean there won't be any running in the near future :-).  Stick around and we'll see if that changes!
