That is King for you. Giving you the UFO as well makes it easy to pass the level. Those UFOs are quite powerful. Players spending cash gives them a much better income than they get through advertising. So they want us all to swap over to pay to play.

I'm not sure what you read where, but there is no way to get paid for playing Candy Crush, so I think they've told you nonsense.
