Why does my screen keep going black in the middle of a game?

I reached level 35 and when I did an IOS update it returned me to level 1. Now when I play or when I'm in the middle of a game the screen goes black and I lose a life.

Did you play connected to either your Kingdom or your Facebook account? Then you shouldn´t have lost your progress.

What iPad are you playing on? I see more and more players having trouble on iPad Mini and iPad2.
