My previous game data won't load on my new phone

I just got a new phone today so I had to download the candy crush jelly saga app again. I typed in my email (and I know I had been playing on wifi) and it said my previous game progress would be synced to my device but it didn't get synced. I had 82 bars and I was on like level 54... somewhere in the 50s. I really do not want to restart! please help.
