Near completion of level 1317 the game froze with a sweet flashing but not exploding there was also a symbol over the top of a candy adjacent to the flashing sweetie. the game canceled automatically when i started to report the issue.

Try disabling any plugins and extensions in your browser. Also check what other programs you have running in the background while playing the game.

I can also recommend that you use Google Chrome as it seems to run really well with games like Jelly Saga.
