How can I add friends to receive extra lives?

It's the same in all games that fewer and fewer players are playing. Only in Facebook are you lucky enough to join and join a group of players. If you are connected to Jelly with facebook, you have as Jelly friends all of your fb friends who play the game! There is not any other way to add friends!
I have no friends at all.
I used to have a lot, but all of a sudden they got lost. Last month I had some 20ish, lat week less than ten. Now I have no one at all...?

There is no way to add custom friends.
Friend ist will automatically added randomly. You can receive extra lives by tapping Heart bar on the top left next to Settings icon, then tap "Assk for lives" and send.
