Totally agree with all of your comments. This is all being done to reduce development costs and not in any way due to an increased experience for the user. Since they make over $1.1 billion in operating income, they are just lining their own pockets! I am looking for a game replacement then I will delete this game.

It is clear portrait mode is not more enjoyable to your users. If you look here and all the negative reviews in the App Store. I, for one, will stop purchasing anything until this is corrected.
