Do you have custom teams available to you? If you can't see "Create or join a custom team." on your events tab then you can't join a new team. Do you only have the random team? If you have it, then just click the join button to see available teams. I hope this helps.

Your screenshot shows scores less than 7000. Adds up to 5275. This is a known graphics issue. Don't worry, you'll get rewards when you actually reach 7000. Keep playing and good luck.

If one of you plays on the WIN10 app for PC and one plays through a browser that would help to keep your accounts separate.
