@QueenB Now have my gold bars. They were delivered to my tablet CCS. They could have been there for a day or so as I hardly play CCS on my tablet since it converted to portrait mode. It is not user friendly. Thanks again.

It always makes sense to take a break if you are fed up with the game. So many glitches at the moment as well, it's quite frustrating to play. Have you ever thought of starting a fresh game? I have one without any legendary levels and really easy to play and enjoy. Got past level 1200 in six weeks without even trying. Some players definitely get easier games than others.
I did receive my 200 bars of gold the next day as promised.
Like a few other people that have commented I haven't played CCS for over two weeks now.
I have won my group also and on completion of the finals, it stated the 200 gold bars would be received the next day. It is now over 2 days later and nothing @QueenB
I won my group playing in the Summer Games Finals and didn't receive my 200 gold. when will it be posted to my game.

Correct cookiemae. There’s also plenty that a player can do to help his/her own odds. It starts by managing your playing time, boosters and gold bars.
I think some people have found a hack to the game to accumulate items and running bots to play
Remembering our experience from All Stars I am pretty sure that the top player on 5 million has not spent a penny on this event. The top players never do. That is the cruel fact on events like these. It's the ones catching up that spend and spend and spend. The winners have much better tricks up their sleeves.
I made it but there’s no feasible way to win with the scores in my group the top player has over 5 million! Idek how this is possible unless you’re spending insane amounts of real money to continuously move up. I’m just not willing to do this, I could just buy the 200 gold if I wanted to spend money. I used to use 3309 as a good old level to collect quickly as I’m in the 14,000 range but they have even changed this. Idk of a level that is as good as that one.

Try tapping on the very bottom edge of event card instead of claim button, it works for me.
I cannot get my rewards/ purchase it keeps directing to the summer games ranking. Im using my iphone in playing. Please help..

I didn't make it to the finals of the Summer Games.😔 But it was fun to combine candy from blue soccer balls and it was a great event for this Candy Crush competition.😁 Good luck to the finalists of the final to the team. 😉
