I'm also having the same issue where only the cherry falls but the acorn doesn't fall down into the "main area". I've played this level about 15 times today and the acorn doesn't drop. Acorn finally dropped on the second day of trying to beat this level.

Resolved after one day but I only saw the acorn drop twice which was on Day 2 of playing this level.
