i am having exactly the same issue and no solution is given to me when i report it and i just get an annoying automated message!! same here and no help forthcoming, just automated crap

The second candy will not drop until you clear the first one. Just focus on clearing the cherries as quickly as possible so that you have enough moves the clear the nut.
