Maybe this is a Microsoft thing? Activision is being acquired by Microsoft and this simplification may just be the way they have been doing things to ease the coding burden.

Games work better on iPads in landscape. Portrait mode is just for newly hatched games. Too lame for real time. I'm at 13,300+ now and suddenly I can't get my game pad in the comfortable position it has always been in. This limitation will drive me away. What happen??
