The new hero mode is here to stay we have been told @witchypaws however, as with all new features, this can be improved. I don't particularly like it either as it is now. However, I love the game too much to quit for this. The studio are listening to feedback on ways it could be better.

Ok, I am sorry to hear that. Are you logged in via the Kingdom or Facebook? Have you checked the store for updates? Have you also tried using a different signal? Such as mobile connection instead of wifi? These things usually depend on a good signal or they don't like it.
