Hey there, sorry to hear about this experience. When the tournament starts, you'll get a pop-up that says that the qualifiers are starting with a title saying something like "Before you continue". If you don't wish to participate, you can press the "Decline" button at the bottom of the screen to opt out of the event.

Hi there and welcome to the community, Could you give us a few more details as to the issue you experienced, was it in a specific event or feature? It might be that the time ran out for the event you're referring to, but hopefully you should still be able to see the results.
