so the winner in my 3rd round knock out group got 6.52M (~271K per hour). Is that possible?

Does anyone know how you get assigned into your groups? Like if the round starts at 9am, but I don’t start until 11am, do I get thrown in with those that start around the same time it’s just random and I get thrown in 2 hours behind? You know what I’m trying to say?

Does anyone know how you are put into groups? Is it just by when you start playing? Or some other method?
