What is force close all apps? I play on my laptop. Tried switching off multiple times

I placed first in the qualifying rounds. The icon in my events tab stated qualified, event in 3 days, etc til it got to 6 or 7 hours, went to bed expecting to start competing in the final knockout rounds 1/3 and could not get the icon to open. Played multiple games. Turned off the computer and came back multiple times … no…
