I passed five levels and got my chefs hat but i’m still locked in the cake dome. There is no chefs hat in any of my future levels. How do i unlock it?

I wish people would NOT pick a selection if they aren't going to play it. Currently, I am a challenge with two teammates who have made selections in such a way I can't win it myself. Neither have logged on in days. I don't understand the logic with this, but its not team work at its best.
