The new bubble gum hill (09-25-2015) only lets me play when I am not logged into the game via Facebook. What is the point of playing when I am not playing as myself and cannot benefit from winning?

I"m guessing you have it on your Kingdom profile and not your Facebook account. The boosters should still go to your game app though no  matter what profile you use.
