9 gold bars taken but no lives given

I used 9 gold bars to refill my lives but the loading icon popped up and the on I got the message that the store wasn't available. It took the gold bars and left me with no Lives. Pretty frustrated this is not the first time it has happened. I spend a good amount of money due to I enjoy playing. If anyone can please help I would greatly appreciate it.
