Starting over and loss of gold bars

I recently changed phones a couple weeks ago. When added the app and signed in (w/o FB) it had start over at level 1. So I have been just playing over. I have been seeing where it says save your progress by signing in with FB. So I did that today. Since I did that and came back into the game it took away my gold bars I had left. What is happening??? When I had the app the first time I was all the way up in the 200's and then now I lose the last 14 bars I had left trying to get back to where I was!! Can someone fix one of the two?!
