Loading Candy Crush Saga Soda

I play Candy Crush Saga Soda on iPad mini.

I log in with Facebook.

Sometime ago it stopped loading the game.

It starts loading but does not finish the loading, and comes back to the main screen.

Chicken Slayer, Thanks for you help, but my problem is not solved.

I followed all your instructions as called in the link, however no result.

Then I continued and I deleted the histories and websitedata in Safari.

After that I restart my Mini IPad .

After (5 - 7) tries I can play the game.

However it still crashes sometimes, and than I start all over again with your instructions and deleting the historie and websitedata.

And after some restarts I can play the game.

So the problem is not solved.

I have à different problem.

After I got lives from my friends, I can not use them.

When I want to use them, and try to start the game, and iT crashes, I have lost à life.

Hi Alie, thank you for trying that. Which version of the ipad mini is it? The reason I ask is the older devices no longer work as well with the game, it might be worth checking if its on this list

Hi Chicken Slayer , the only thing I know about my mini IPad  is that I bought it in september 2013.

in the papers of the iPad mini it's not called à mini 2 or mini 4.

the modelnr is mini Pad MD532ZP/À WiFi 32gb 

maybe the iPad is to old to play Candy Crush Saga Soda, but I also play Candy Crush Saga and Candy Crush Farm Heroes with no problems.

My husband plays Candy Crush Soda on à iPad that is even 1 year older, with no problems.

It might not be that, it was only a thought. Just with you saying how sometimes you can get it to work, that would make sense. I will pass it over to the team anyway

Hi Alie,

This is one tricky case! I need to ask you some questions in order to help you. 

- Have you tried playing in other devices with your account and does it work well, or have you tried other accounts on your iPad? Although it seems like it's device-related we need to make sure that's the case.

-  Does it happen with any other game or is it only happening with soda?

Regarding losing the lives when it crashes, is a normal behaviour given that it crashes once the level is launched, which means the game receives the information that you're playing it, and then (because of the crash) once you restart the app it makes the game believe you didn't beat the level and therefore you lose a life.

Please come back with an answer to these two questions so that we can see if the issue is device-specific and to see if it's game-specific at the same time.

 No I did not play the game in other device with my account. 

I just tried to play on other device but did not succeed.

I play with my Facebook account.

Tell me how I can do that.

I play other games of Candy Crush on my device , without problems.

When Candy Crush Saga Soda crashes and I use the "normal" lives, I do not lose

 them. I only lose lives when the game crashes and I use lives that I got from my friends.

I hope that you can help me.

Xarly is currently out of office so I'll fill his shoes and try to help you out :-)

I've looked up your iPad model and I might have found the bottleneck as to why the game is crashing. All Apple iPad mini Wi-Fi models were produced back in 2012 where the internal RAM was set to 512 MB. This was plenty to run iOS 6 together with all major apps back then. Apple later released iOS 9.3.5 which took a larger chunk of that available RAM. Most games today require at least 1GB of internal RAM as there are more features in the OS as well as more apps running in the background.

You might be able to squeeze a few more years out of your tablet by doing a complete reset of your tablet. This process is called 'Factory reset' and will wipe all your data (contacts, photos, chat history, settings in apps and more). If you choose to do a Factory reset then proceed by making sure you have backed up all your data, reset your tablet and then proceed by installing only the most essential apps. Avoid apps that will run in the background (Skype, Whatsapp, Facebook etc.) as they will use of those few MB available in the system. 

If you already now have connected Candy Crush Soda Saga to Facebook then all your game progress, highscores and Gold bars have been synced and stored on our server. After the reset you can now install the game and after connecting to Facebook continue playing where you left off. Please notice that Boosters and messages with lives are stored locally on your device and will not be restored after a factory reset.

thank for you solution, but à factory reset and back up are to difficult for me.

So I have tp accept the problem.

But it is strange that I do not have this problem with other Saga games, and my husband plays the same game on à iPad that is even one year older.

Sorry that we couldn't help more. Do you have any family maybe that could try the solutions given? I hate the fact you are having issues. Or perhaps one of them could lend you another device to play with? I know I have the same tablet model as my husband (Lenovo though) exactly the same specs and year and version. But I have no problems with some apps and he does. Its very odd! (not King ones either sadly)
