Why can't I open the Candy Crush Soda Saga app on my PC?

Each time I try to open the app, I get the orange "King" page that says "Loading..." but it flickers, and then vanishes. Does it have something to do with the update that was made on 28 June? Please advise on what to do, or at least provide some guidelines about when the app will be accessible again.

Well, I lost whatever daily progress I had made (I think I was in the 50s, maybe higher), but at least I am able to play the game again, so that lost progress is not important. Thank you for replying to my question.
