That's correct, @Xarly! I'll more than likely be at the theatre on opening night. The year The Force Awakens came out, a friend of mine managed to get tickets to a showing the night before opening night! We've been going to the new movies on opening night ever since!

As far as I remember, it's December this year that episode 9 will see the light, right?

@Xarly and @mercerik, I have some Star Wars news! You've probably already heard this, but episode X is set for 2022!
I agree, @Xarly, Rey could stay around for awhile. I like Kylo Ren too, but I like him better with his mask on! With the mask, he's much more intimidating.

True about Leia! (Although CGI lately is getting even better, I doubt it's good enough to keep her around without Carrie Fisher.

Maybe they are just trying to create new ones now for the younger generations? I think Rey is definitely a character that can be solid enough to stay for many years to come. I hope so at least!

Well, @Xarly, Yoda was already dead in Episode VI before Luke gave himself up to Vader. The only old character that would be left is Leia (which they're gonna have to kill somehow because Carrie Fisher died), Chewie, C3PO, and R2D2. They've already killed some popular characters. I wouldn't be surprised if they killed a few more. By the way, @mercerik, I love the GIFs!

You think it'll happen @Crimson_Dawn ? I truly hope it doesn't! They already got rid of an icon in Solo, Yoda and Luke to name only three. If they take Chewy as well, we won't be having any of the old legends there anymore!

I'm a huge fan myself as well! I wish I had more time to go deep but I just wanted to say I love those GIFs @mercerik and I agree with you @Crimson_Dawn - Han Solo is such a cool character! I hope they don't get rid of Chewy as well, my heart won't be able to handle that.

I actually think it's Luke because she has that Rebellion pilot helmet in The Force Awakens. I also really want Han Solo to come back in Episode IX. He was my favorite character😢

has been keeping an eye on her over the years, which is why the

Millennium Falcon was so conveniently on her planet.

He is very paternal. He teaches her how to use a gun. He teaches her how to use the Falcon.

The Return Of The Jedi

Luke Skywalker confronts his father, Darth Vader, in a final climactic duel before the evil Emperor,
Darth Sedious. Luke defeated Darth Vader in the duel cutting his right hand. Darth Sidious taunted Luke
to kill his father so he can replace him. When Luke refused, Darth Sidious tried to kill him, Darth Vader's
father's instinct kicked in as he reverted back to his old self Anakin. Of course blood is thicker than water.
Darth Vader grabbed and lifted Darth Sidious and threw him in the pit down below killing him.

Below is the GIF that I made. I tried to put as much scenes as I can to make sense.
Unfortunately, this is the best I can do in the maximum 15 seconds time.
