I was paired with a friend for the bubble gum troll and now all progress is gone. While my friend is still paired with me. Any solution?

Yes, currently Battle Season (Yeti VS Bubblegum troll) is live but which feature are you referring to, exactly? Rescue Buddies? Kimmy's gone Fishing? other?
Which device do you use to play Soda ? (make and model)
I can't guarantee you'll get your progress back but I advise you try troubleshooting steps.

If you own Android mobile, visit device Settings - Apps - Candy Crush Soda Saga - Storage - Clear Cache. Be careful not to click "clear data" which deletes your boosters
